Even though I am not a parent, this book is one of my favorite books. This book is funny, ridiculous, and interesting to read from a kid’s point of view. In this book review, I will briefly summarize the book and elaborate on my opinions of this book.

In How to Save Your Child, this book talks about lots of crazy scenarios that may seem impossible in real life, but according to the book, happens often. Then the book offers you advice to help defeat or overcome the situation. Such as on page 8, “To stop a bear attack, remind the attacking mama or papa bear that you’re an exhausted parent just like them.” On top of that, there are 3 panel comics about the topic the book is talking about that shows an interaction between a child and a parent. There are also charts that just make the book so much funnier.

This book is like the book How To, except it is with parenting instead. The concept behind those books is similar, with humor and much more. As a kid, I find this book to be interesting, since it partly reveals how parents feel about us kids. I enjoy the humor in this book, since it improves the book. But this book I based on humor, so I can’t really say much there. I recommend this book for people of all ages, since it is such a well written book, with funny parts in the right places. I can tell that the book is written in a tone that shows it is trying to keep a straight face. It is trying to be deadly serious, but at the same time, written for fun. If you want a light, entertaining read, then this book is for you.
